Do you ever get the feeling that there has to be a better way to lose weight, or think that it’s just getting harder and harder to manage the day to day list that seems to be getting longer?
Well, here’s some information for you and some tricks that will hopefully make things a little easier for you. Have you ever heard of Decision Fatigue?
OK, have you ever eaten clean all day, exercised like an animal, and then get home and downed two brownies in one bite?
I know, I know.
Me either. But I’m sure you know someone who does. Basically decision fatigue is the process where the more decisions we make in a day, the more difficult it gets to make the right decision. Why else do you think some of the most successful people wear the same things every day and have their schedule already filled in before the day even starts? The less decisions you can make in a day then, the easier it will be to keep on the right track.
One of our favorite customers told us how getting the same Johnny Green smoothie and Glow juice every morning has helped her change her habits. Instead of wondering what to get for breakfast, she drinks the same smoothie every day. Instead of wondering what to get for lunch, she already knows she’s eating the salad she made the night before with the Glow juice from the morning.
So what does this mean for you?
It means you should focus your decisions on what really matters. Try to have a meal plan that doesn’t change too much. You don’t have to eat the same thing every day, but the more decisions options you go through before deciding, increases the risk that you will make poorer choices later that day.
Listen, these aren’t my facts, these are just the facts. Google it, and you’ll see that even judges aren’t above decision fatigue. Remember that when you’re scrolling websites shopping, or walking the aisles for what you might need instead of going with a list. Hopefully you can use this little bit of information to make better decisions yourself, but if you’ve already got it all figured out, maybe you can pass the information along to someone who doesn’t.
Have an awesome day!
